Conference Hours: The Marketing Nation Summit will officially kick off on Sunday, April 29 at 5:00 pm and conclude on Wednesday, May 2 at 12:15 pm.

How do I register?

How do I apply a promotion code?

If you have not yet registered for The Marketing Nation Summit, begin your registration and follow the instructions. Once you reach the checkout page, insert the code into the Promo Code field. Click Apply to recalculate your registration. 

If you have already registered, codes cannot be provided retroactively.

What is the payment policy?

The Marketing Nation accepts several methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Payment must accompany your registration. Registrations without payment will not be processed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Registration cancellations received in writing by 5:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time) prior to Friday, February 2nd, 2018, will be refunded, less a $150.00 (USD) processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after 5:00 PM (PST) on February 2nd, 2018. Please send any information regarding cancellations via email to summitregsupport@marketo.com.

Are substitutions permitted?

If you are unable to attend The Marketing Nation Summit, you may transfer your registration to another person by logging into your registration profile and updating the information.

Can I bring a guest?

Guest Passes are available for $250 and can be purchased at the Tuesday night event at the door. Please note: A guest must accompany a Full Pass attendee.

What is the weather like in San Francisco in April?
  • High’s run from 60-70 degrees
  • Low’s run from 54-49 degrees
  • It is always best to bring some warm clothes with you as the weather in San Francisco can be unpredictable.
Which airports are closest to San Francisco?

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the closest major airport, an easy BART ride or 25-minute drive from downtown. Alternatively, the Oakland International Airport (OAK) is a 35-minute drive over the Bay Bridge and is also accessible by BART. San Jose International Airport is a 60 minute drive from downtown. 

How do I request Visa information?

You can request a visa letter to assist in obtaining your visa to attend The Marketing Nation Summit. You must register for the conference prior to requesting a visa invitation. Please send an email to summitregsupport@marketo.com and provide the following information:

  • First name on passport
  • Last name on passport
  • Full name on registration
  • Country of origin 
  • Passport number 
  • Passport expiration date

  • Full address of your local United States embassy/consulate

DRESS CODE

What is the dress code for The Marketing Nation Summit?

Business casual attire is appropriate for all functions related to the Marketo Marketing Nation Summit 2018. A jacket or sweater is recommended for air-conditioned rooms within the convention center as well.

Is there an additional charge to attend Summit University Day or to become Marketo Certified?

Yes! Here are the costs to add-on University Day and/or Marketo Certification & Specialization Assessments to a full pass registration:

What is University Day?

University Day is a full day of learning with tracks and courses to help you learn beginner to advanced Marketo concepts. University Day is available for an additional fee as an add-on event to your Summit full pass registration.

Who can participate in University Day?

University Day is open to Marketo customers and partners. It is highly recommended that you have an active Marketo subscription so you can follow along in your own instance.

What types of learning tracks are being offered?

There are three separate tracks for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced-level Marketo users. When registering, please make sure you select the track that best suits your Marketo experience level. University Day tracks and courses can be found on the University Day page of the Summit website. 

What’s the recommended experience level for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced tracks?

The recommended Marketo experience level for the University Day tracks is:

  • Beginner Track: less than 1 year or limited Marketo experience
  • Intermediate Track: 1 – 3 years of Marketo Experience
  • Advanced Track: 3+ years of Marketo Experience
How do I register for University Day?

University Day is an available add-on to your Summit full pass registration. Simply select either the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced track when purchasing your full-pass registration. Space permitting, onsite registration may be available on a first come, first served basis.

How do I add University Day if I’ve already completed my Summit registration?

If you’ve already completed your Summit registration and would now like to add University Day, please return to the Summit registration site and follow the steps below:

  • Click on “Already Registered”
  • Enter your Full Pass registration confirmation number
  • Click on the “Modify” tab to enter the registration page
  • Proceed to the "Item Selection" page and add University Day (selecting the option that best suits your skill level)
  • Enter your payment information  on the payment page
  • Click Next and review your updated registration
  • Click Next to get to the confirmation page and click Finish
Can I change the University Day track that I’ve registered for?

Changing your University Day Track is possible by emailing us at summitregsupport@freemanxp.com up to April 16, 2018 at 5:00pm PST. At the event, you will need to join the track for which you have registered. No changes will be processed onsite.

How do I change the University Day track that I’ve registered for?

If you’ve already registered for Summit with a Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced University Day track and would like to change to another track, please email us at summitregsupport@freemanxp.com. Please provide the attendee name, confirmation number, and name of the track you wish to join.

You can change tracks up to April 16, 2018 at 5:00pm PST. Switching tracks will not be allowed at the event.

Can I attend sessions across the different tracks?

The University Day tracks are designed to be a completed in progression from start to finish. It is not possible to move between tracks. 

What is the University Day cancellation policy?

University Day cancellations are subject to the standard Summit registration cancellation policy. Please send any information and requests regarding cancellations via email to summitregsupport@marketo.com. There will be no refunds or cancellations received after 5:00 PM PST on January 26, 2018.

Do I need to bring anything to University Day?

Please bring your charged laptop so you can follow along with exercises and/or view any electronic materials. Please also bring any note-taking materials you may need.

Are meals included with my University Day registration?

Morning coffee/tea service, lunch and afternoon beverages will be provided. 

Will University Day prepare me for the Certification Exams?

University Day is a learning event for knowledge sharing and extending skills. It is not intended as a Certification preparation course.

CERTIFICATION

What is Marketo Certification?

Marketo’s Certification Program provides a highly respected technical marketing credential for Marketo practitioners and partners that demonstrates knowledge, ability, and experience. Our certification program is rigorously developed, professionally administered, and recognized around the globe.

Are there any requirements for me to get certified?

Marketo certification is open to Marketo practitioners and partners with an active Marketo subscription. A minimum of one-year marketing experience and six-months experience setting up and managing programs and campaigns in Marketo is recommended (but not required).

What Specialization and Certification exams are being offered at Summit?

At Summit 2018, we’ll be offering the Marketo Certified Expert certification exam. The exam price is $175 USD. You may add your exam fee to your full pass registration or register onsite.

What is the format and time limit for Certification exams and Specialization assessments?

The Marketo Certified Expert exam is composed of 75 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 90 minutes.

 

The Marketo Specialization Exams are composed of approximately 25-30 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 60 minutes.

How do I register for a Specialization or Certification Exam?

You can add a Specialization or Certification Exam to your Summit full pass registration. Alternatively, you can register onsite to take the exam.

How do I add a Specialization or Certification Exam if I’ve already completed my Summit registration?

If you’ve already completed your Summit registration and would now like to add a Certification or Specialization seat, please return to the Summit registration site and follow the steps below:

  • Click on “Already Registered”
  • Enter your email address and Full Pass registration confirmation number
  • Click on the “Modify” tab to enter the registration page
  • Proceed to the "Item Selection" page and add Certification or Specialization
  • Enter your payment information on the payment page

If I registered to take the Specialization or Certification Exam at Summit, can I postpone if I’m not ready?

If you need to postpone your any exam, please visit the Certification check-in booth at Summit for an extension code.

Once I register, do I need to schedule a time to take the exam?

You do not need to make an appointment or schedule an exam time. Please visit the certification booth to check-in for a seat in the exam room. During peak times, you may need to wait to take the exam.

When will the Certification & Specialization Exam room be open?

The exam room will be open during the following hours.

How do I prepare for the Certified Expert exam or Marketo Specializations?

To prepare for the Marketo Certified Expert exam or Marketo Specializations, please visit Marketo Certification. It includes a list of recommended topics and preparation resources. 

When will I get the results from my exam?

The exam platform will notify you of your results immediately upon completion of the exam. 

Do I need to bring a laptop to take the exam?

Please bring your own laptop to take your exam. A limited number of loaner laptops will be available for those unable to use their own.
