How does Marketing Nation Summit in previous years differ from Marketo’s recent announcement regarding joining Adobe Summit in 2019?

Marketing Nation Summit will take place at Adobe Summit from March 24-28, 2019. Marketo will be integrated throughout the entire event, including the community pavilion, general sessions, and networking events. Marketo will also have its own content track and ancillary events for our customers and partners. Additionally, Marketo will also have a dedicated keynote general session and content throughout the day on Thursday, March 28, bringing together Marketing Nation as a community. This has always been our top priority at events in years prior, showcasing the latest product updates, delivering compelling content breakouts sessions, and most importantly providing networking opportunities and celebrating our achievements together as the most forward-thinking marketing thought-leaders in the world.

I already bought a ticket for Marketing Nation Summit 2019. Will I be able to get a refund or can I attend Adobe Summit instead?

If you have already purchased a ticket to Marketing Nation Summit 2019, you can apply that purchase towards Adobe Summit—getting even more content and days of engagement for your investment in 2019. To register for Adobe Summit, please contact summitsupport@adobe-summit.com. If you’re not able to attend during the new dates of March 24-28, you will be eligible to receive a full refund for your Marketing Nation Summit ticket purchase. If you fall into that category, please send an email to summitsupport@adobe-summit.com with your information and refund request, and we will work with you to process your refund.

I received a comp or discounted ticket for Marketing Nation Summit. Will I be able to apply my comp or discounted ticket to attend Adobe Summit instead?

Yes, you will be able to apply your comp pass to the Adobe Summit conference. A communication will be sent to you with information on how to register. If you have not received an email, please contact summitsupport@adobe-summit.com with your contact information and any details related to your comped ticket.

I bought tickets for both events. What do I do?

What is the pricing for Adobe Summit?

What does this announcement mean for the Marketing Nation community?

Why was Marketing Nation Summit 2019 moved to March?

Together, Adobe and Marketo could not be more excited to engage with you and connect you with an even larger community of passionate marketers. Where is Adobe Summit in 2019?

What if I only want to attend Marketing Nation Summit and not the entire Adobe Summit event in 2019?

We encourage all of you to attend the full Adobe Summit over three incredibly rich days of content to benefit from Adobe’s leadership in the customer experience management space, connect with your peers, and learn more about how Marketo integrates with the newest innovations such as Adobe Sensei, Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics and so much more. Additionally, there will be multiple events you are familiar with from prior Marketing Nation Summit events, such as the Revvie Awards Gala and beyond, scheduled throughout the full week of March 24-28, offering you the best of both worlds to attend the full combined event. Will there be a call for speakers?

The speaker lineup is now full for both Marketing Nation Summit and Adobe Summit 2019. Keep an eye out later this year for an open call for speakers for Adobe Summit 2020.

Is there still an opportunity to get involved in Adobe Summit?

Absolutely. We’ll be sharing more details in the coming weeks.

Will this still be relevant to the same members to my team?

Like Marketing Nation Summit, Adobe Summit focuses on the user while also providing a tailored experience for senior executives. Therefore, this event is very relevant for any customer, from the user/practitioner level to senior management/executive level.

Is this relevant even though I am not an Adobe customer?

Absolutely. Do I have to be an Adobe customer to attend?

Not at all. Adobe Summit empowers attendees to discover strategies to transform and deliver personal and engaging customer experiences. It’s a great event to learn more about digital marketing, and Adobe, as well as Marketo.

Will there still be a Marketing Nation Summit party?

All attendees will be invited to the Adobe Summit Bash—one of the industry’s largest and most glamorous events. In addition, we will have Marketing Nation community-exclusive events throughout the week with a smaller group of attendees to ensure you can continue to engage in an intimate setting with your marketing peers from the nation you know and love. How does this affect the Revvie Awards Gala?

Revvie Award finalists and winners will be celebrated at the Adobe & Marketing Nation Summit during an exclusive, invitation-only evening reception in partnership with the Adobe Experience Maker Awards on Monday, March 25. Revvie applications are open through end of day Friday, February 22, 2019. Will there be Marketo-dedicated breakout sessions?

Yes. There will be a Marketo content track as part of Adobe Summit. Additionally, there will be Marketo-specific breakout sessions as part of the Marketing Nation Summit dedicated event on March 28 at the Wynn Hotel & Resort.

Will there be a chance to get certified on Marketo at Marketing Nation Summit?

Absolutely. We will have a University Day event as we have in prior years where you can engage in hands-on training and complete your Marketo Certification on Monday, March 25. More information on Marketo’s University Day will be shared in the coming weeks.

Does this mean Marketing Nation Summit is going away?

Absolutely not. Adobe loves the Marketing Nation community and Marketo’s passionate customers, partners, and users, and is beyond excited to engage with you as soon as possible. By integrating Marketing Nation Summit into Adobe Summit, you will be able to experience the best of both worlds—and even more content overall for the same or lower price than in years past. The Marketing Nation Summit event will take place at Adobe Summit from March 24-28. This means that there will not be a second Marketing Nation Summit event in October 2019. 

Why has this only been announced now?

Marketo and Adobe put a lot of thought and consideration into this decision. Therefore, we wanted to make an informed decision and truly decide what’s best for our customers and partners. We believe by combining both events, our customers will reap the most benefits for the rest of 2019 and beyond and after collaborating on this decision over the last few weeks since the acquisition closed, this is the first opportunity we had to share this news with you.

Marketo University Day

What is University Day?

University Day is a full-day of courses to help you learn beginner-friendly to experienced Marketo concepts and key features. Our certified instructors teach courses with lecture elements and product demos. University Day is available for an additional fee as an add-on event to your Adobe Summit full pass registration.

Who can participate in University Day?

University Day is open to Adobe customers, Marketo customers, and partners. It is highly recommended that you have an active Marketo subscription so you can follow along in your instance.

What types of learning tracks are being offered?

There are two separate tracks for beginner and experienced-level Marketo users. When registering, please make sure you select the track that best suits your Marketo level. View the University Day tracks here.

What’s the recommended experience level for the Beginner and Experienced Track?

The recommended Marketo experience level for the University Day tracks is:

  • Beginner Track: less than 1 year or limited Marketo experience
  • Experienced Track: 3-6 months or more of hands-on Marketo Experience
How do I register for University Day?

University Day is an available add-on to your Summit full pass registration. Simply select either the beginner or experienced track when purchasing your full-pass registration. Space permitting, onsite registration may be available on a first come, first served basis.

Do I need to bring anything to University Day?

Please bring your charged laptop so you can follow along with exercises and/or view any electronic materials. Please also bring any notetaking materials you may need.

Are meals included with my University Day registration?

Breakfast, morning coffee/tea service, lunch, and afternoon beverages will be provided.

Will University Day prepare me for the Certification Exams?

University Day is a learning event for knowledge sharing and extending skills. It is not intended as a Certification preparation course.

Marketo Certification

What is a Marketo Certification?

Marketo’s Certification Program provides a highly respected technical marketing credential for Marketo practitioners and partners that demonstrate knowledge, ability, and experience. Our certification program is rigorously developed, professionally administered, and recognized around the globe.

Are there any requirements for me to get certified?

Marketo certification is open to Marketo practitioners and partners. 

The Marketo Certified Associate Exam (MCA) requires a minimum of 3-6 months experience and introductory-level knowledge of marketing automation. 

Marketo Certified Expert Exam (MCE) requires a minimum of one-year marketing experience and six-months experience setting up and managing programs and campaigns in Marketo is recommended (but not required).

What Certification exams are being offered at Summit?

Marketo Certified Associate Exam $75

Marketo Certified Expert Exam $175

What is the format and time limit for Certification exams?

The Marketo Certified Associate exam is composed of 60 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 90 minutes. A minimum passing score is 76%.

The Marketo Certified Expert exam is composed of 75 multiple choice questions and must be completed within 90 minutes. The minimum passing score is 70%.

How do I register for a Certification Exam?

You can add a Certification Exam to your schedule during the Summit registration process. A Summit full conference pass is prerequisite for the purchase. Alternatively, you can register onsite to take the exam.

How do I add a Certification Exam or University Day if I’ve already completed my Summit registration?

If you’ve already completed your Summit registration and would now like to add a Certification exam, please return to your Summit Dashboard and follow the steps below:

  • Under Manage Group Passes and Purchases – “click here to manage your orders.”
  • Click on ADD PACKAGE
  • Proceed to select your desired preconference training.
  • Select payment type and enter your payment information.
  • Submit your order.
What is the cancellation policy?

Certification cancellations are subject to the standard Summit registration cancellation policy.   

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to summitsupport@adobe-summit.com
  • The refund policy is as follows:
    • Through January 31, 2019: 50% refund
    • February 1, 2019, or later: No refund (No shows are ineligible for registration fee refunds.)
If I registered to take a Certification Exam at Summit, can I postpone if I’m not ready?

If you need to postpone your any exam, please visit the certification check-in booth at Summit for more information.

Once I register, do I need to schedule a time to take the exam?

You do not need to make an appointment or schedule an exam time. Please visit the certification booth to check-in for a seat in the exam room. During peak times, you may need to wait to take the exam.

When will the Exam room be open?

The exam room will be open during the following hours.

  • Tue    9am – 5:00pm
  • Wed  9am – 5:00pm
How do I prepare for the Certified Expert exams?

To prepare for the Marketo Certified Associate or Expert exam, please visit Marketo Certification. It includes a list of recommended topics and preparation resources.

When will I get the results from my exam?

The exam platform will notify you of your results immediately upon completion of the exam.

Do I need to bring a laptop to take the exam?

Please bring your laptop to take your exam. A limited number of loaner laptops will be available for those unable to use their own.
